“Cringe is part of the art” — I love this sentiment and as a parent of a tween I think this is a perfect response. I’ve been turning this phrase over in my mind since I read your post a couple of days ago. Your art is so beautiful and always evolving and it’s lovely that you’re building a mentorship practice. Peace!

Thank you! I love the idea of leaning into words that carry a negative charge. There’s something powerful about embracing what makes us "cringe". <3

I love looking at your art and reading your reflections. I don’t need, look for, or prefer reels and videos. I look for authentic voices, thoughtful reflections, and visually moving art work when I peruse the “stacks.” I hope you continue to share your work and thoughts here.

Thank you so much, your words mean a lot. I don’t mind reels or videos, but the pressure to be seen all the time can be draining. I won’t stop sharing my writing, it’s a core part of my life. Whether here or through my own email, I’m glad to have a place for it, and grateful you’re reading.

Thanks for so much for sharing your story, art, and heart! I too am feeling conflicted about Substack. However, it is a great way to meet and be met by likeminded people. I’m learning ways to ignore the social media bustle that is moving onto this platform. Ongoing learning— learning alongside you and many others! 💕

Thank you. I really do love building community here, but sometimes there’s too much pressure to do more. I end up scrolling on Notes more than I want to, and it pulls me away from the heart of it. I’m trying to stay close to that. <3
