Your writing always speaks to my soul. It’s like a breath of fresh air in a world that I feel suffocated. Keep being your authentic self because this is the strongest energy you can emanate, it vibrates higher than love and that’s what the world needs. I’ll always cherish you and the way you walk on this earth. Love 💕🌹

Feeling very aligned with what you wrote. I left Instagram 5 months ago, and now I’m thinking, “How can I make this work as a Yoga Teacher? Where do I promote my workshops?”

But this is what life is about - experimenting and trusting that the Universe provides. That there are multiple paths for us, not just one. Not just Instagram ♥️

Sending you my love all the way from

The Philippines 🤍

I'm so glad this connects with you.

And congrats on 5 months of no Instagram.

This is a good place as an alternative for now. I've heard folks say Substack is -only- for writers, but I absolutely disagree. I feel Substack is a place where people shape the platform with all their diverse selves, whereas Instagram is a place where the platform shapes the people—making us work for algorithms, turning everyone into influencers, etc. I'm sure there's a big yoga community here too, and the beautiful thing is that you can share in-depth about it. Sending so much love right back. 🌱🤍

I love all your posts, your writing, your art, your resistance, your dedication. I read every article. I‘m one of your paid subscribers. It‘s the least I can do. You enspire me always. Thanks for shining your light 🙏🏻 Love from Switzerland from one artist mother to the next

Vanja I only recently found your profile and you feel mysteriously kindred. What a breath of fresh air to find somebody as grounded and yet nonconformist like you in this world full of mass manipulation and hatred.

I am here in all my presence, just to say that I see you. 💜

I loved reading this. I am a strategist by trade and I do not prescribe to the belief that you need to partake in the “tried and true” strategies to find (your definition of) success. I’m always inspired by artists who refuse to play by the rules that inevitably form a chasm between your generative power and your public image. I went independent/started my own business in April and business was good for a bit but then august was incredibly hard and slow and scary. As you said, I’ve heard this echoed by many solopreneurs. I almost turned to “creating content” on LinkedIn but it made me want to recoil so far inside of my body that it might turn itself inside out 😂. I’d rather put my energy into writing the truth on Substack.

Thank you so much for sharing your heart with the world and inspiring me. I still want one of your pieces tattooed. Some day I will purchase the license and bite the bullet! Hugs.

Thank you so much, Leigh. I resonate with your sentiment. The "tried and true" strategies often ignore the feminine cycles and the earth's rhythms. August, in particular, should be a time to savor the summer, to nurture friendships, and to rest, rather than to stress over sales and work. It’s a season for rejuvenation, and I believe everyone, not just schoolchildren, deserves to experience that. Sending hugs and looking forward to the day you decide to bring one of my pieces to life on your skin! <3
