Vanja, this beautiful article couldn't come at a better time for me. I needed to read this today as I'm writing my own thoughts on spiritual bypassing and how my own spiritual practices - and indeed the way I see my whole life and my place in the interwoven web of humankind - changed over time. The changes were happening for years and motherhood had a crucial role in it, but it was Palestine that did the final, most profound and eye-opening push. I think I'm going to quote your words quite a bit in my upcoming article. Thank you
Absolutely honored that the article spoke to you Ramona, and feel free to use any of the words in your upcoming piece. Grateful for your connection and the sharing of our journeys.
I've been struggling with the balance between hopelessness and the need to run away. I keep talking, having conversations, sharing has much as possible, but still, I feel it's not enough. May we keep on struggling, with our privilege to do so.
I completely understand João. It's also a continuous reminder to myself to write, share, protest, and keep going – to navigate this paradox. While all this often feels insufficient until Palestine is free, there's also a growing awareness that what we contribute does matter; in its own way, it is enough, especially when we come together.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. You have aligned my heart and mind with feelings I’m unable to articulate on my own. This is what the truth feels like. Thank you for all that you do. 🖤
